A: Maybe. An elite skier takes roughly 2 weeks to completely recover from a 50k effort. This means you will probably have to pick one race to give you “100%.” Our advice would be to do the first race but never push the needle into the red zone (ie race it at 60-80%). Then pay particular attention to your post race routine. Get food, beverage, and dry clothes quickly. If you do these things, you should be able to race the second race at 100%.
